WHY WE EXIST
Finding HVAC help shouldn’t feel like sorting through a pile of disconnected claims.
An HVAC problem can quickly become expensive, uncomfortable, or urgent. Yet homeowners are often asked to make a major decision using incomplete listings, unfamiliar technical language, and business claims that are difficult to compare.
HVACentric was created to make that first part of the process clearer. We organize publicly available contractor information, connect it with practical education, and give homeowners a better starting point for building a shortlist.
We are not trying to replace a contractor’s diagnosis or make the final hiring decision for anyone. We are building the research layer that helps people ask better questions before they make that decision.

Each listing begins as a business identity—not a marketing profile. We establish who the company is, where it can be reached, and what its public sources actually support.

Start with public evidence
We prioritize official company websites, public business and licensing sources, trade organizations, chambers of commerce, and other reputable directories.

Cross-check the identity
Names, street addresses, phone numbers, websites, and locations are compared so separate companies and multi-location businesses are represented correctly.

Record only supported details
Services, credentials, emergency availability, financing, free estimates, and similar attributes are included only when a reliable public source supports them.

Publish conservatively
When an important detail cannot be verified, we leave it blank or withhold the link. A smaller, dependable profile is more useful than a complete-looking profile built on assumptions.

Create a path to correction
Businesses can claim profiles and submit updates for review. Homeowners and contractors can also flag information that needs another look.

HVACentric began with a carefully researched New Jersey foundation and now serves a growing Northeast region. The long-term direction includes broader contractor coverage, richer manufacturer and equipment information, stronger homeowner resources, practical comparison tools, and useful systems for HVAC professionals.
The expansion will remain deliberate. Every addition should improve the homeowner experience, improve the contractor experience, or increase the quality of the data. The strongest additions will do all three.
HVACentric provides directory research and general educational information. Homeowners should confirm current licensing where required, insurance, availability, project scope, permits, warranties, references, and payment terms directly before hiring. Safety concerns and equipment-specific instructions should be handled through qualified professionals, manufacturers, utilities, or emergency authorities as appropriate.
