Terms of use.

HVACentric is operated by eBiz Media Pro LLC. By accessing or using HVACentric, you agree to these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the site or submit information. You must be at least 18 years old to purchase a membership, claim a business profile, or submit information on behalf of a company.

If you act for a company, you represent that you have authority to accept these terms and provide information on its behalf.

HVACentric provides a researched contractor directory, general educational resources, manufacturer information, submission and review features, listing verification, and optional paid profile enhancements. Features, coverage areas, eligibility standards, and presentation may change as the platform develops.

We work to present useful, supportable business information, but we do not guarantee that every third-party detail is complete, current, or error-free. Business hours, service areas, personnel, credentials, availability, and other facts can change without notice.

Before hiring, users should independently confirm licensing, insurance, certifications, references, pricing, warranties, permits, availability, and the exact scope of work. Inclusion in HVACentric does not replace ordinary homeowner due diligence.

A listing, badge, profile enhancement, placement, or verification status is not a guarantee of workmanship, safety, pricing, character, or future performance. Unless HVACentric expressly states otherwise, directory order and profile presentation should not be interpreted as a ranking or endorsement.

Payment never purchases a favorable review, positive rating, preferred editorial treatment, or exemption from HVACentric’s data and verification standards.

HVACentric’s guides and system information are general educational material. They are not a site-specific diagnosis, engineering opinion, code determination, safety inspection, legal recommendation, or substitute for a qualified professional.

HVAC equipment may involve electricity, fuel, refrigerants, combustion gases, pressure, heat, moving parts, and other hazards. Do not attempt work beyond your training, licensing, tools, or safe working conditions. For emergencies, suspected gas leaks, fire, carbon-monoxide concerns, or immediate danger, leave the area when appropriate and contact the relevant emergency service or utility.

HVACentric is not a contractor, employer, agent, insurer, guarantor, or party to any agreement between a visitor and a listed business. Contractors are independent businesses responsible for their own representations, estimates, work, employees, permits, warranties, billing, safety practices, and legal compliance.

Any dispute concerning services, payment, property damage, warranties, or conduct must be resolved between the customer and contractor, subject to applicable law.

When you submit text, corrections, reviews, photos, logos, links, documents, or other material, you represent that the information is accurate to the best of your knowledge, does not violate another person’s rights, and that you have permission to provide it.

You retain ownership of material you own. You grant HVACentric a nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, reproduce, edit for clarity or formatting, display, and distribute submitted material as reasonably necessary to operate and promote the directory and the associated profile. This license ends when the material is removed from our active services, except for reasonable backups, legal records, and material already incorporated into permitted archival or promotional use.

HVACentric may verify, edit, decline, postpone, unpublish, or remove material that is unsupported, misleading, unlawful, unsafe, irrelevant, duplicative, promotional beyond the profile standard, or inconsistent with platform policies.

Reviews should describe genuine first-hand experiences and must not contain threats, harassment, discriminatory content, private personal information, fabricated claims, undisclosed conflicts of interest, or material posted in exchange for an improper incentive.

HVACentric may moderate reviews and request supporting information, but moderation does not mean we independently verified every statement. Businesses may provide corrections or responses through the available process; disagreement alone does not require removal of a lawful, policy-compliant review.

Submitting a claim does not immediately transfer control of a listing. HVACentric may compare the claimant’s email domain, telephone number, role, public business information, verification code, and supporting documents before approving access.

We may approve, deny, pause, reverse, or request additional proof when necessary to protect the business, the public, or the integrity of the directory. Claim approval permits participation in available profile processes; it does not permit removal of accurate public information or publication of unsupported claims.

Premium is an optional enhancement for an eligible, approved contractor profile. Activation requires an eligible listing, successful payment, confirmation that the purchaser is authorized to represent the business, completed onboarding, and HVACentric editorial approval.

Purchasing Premium does not guarantee that every submitted statement or image will be published. HVACentric may edit for clarity, consistency, supportability, homeowner usefulness, and compliance with its standards.

If we cannot verify the purchaser’s authority or determine that the listing is ineligible before activation, the membership will be canceled and the applicable Premium payment refunded to the original payment method.

The Founding Premium membership is an automatically renewing annual subscription billed at $197 per year while it remains continuously active. By subscribing, you authorize Stripe to charge the payment method associated with the subscription at checkout and at each annual renewal until cancellation.

You may cancel before the renewal date to prevent the next annual charge. Premium benefits will ordinarily continue through the end of the current paid term unless access is terminated for fraud, misuse, legal requirements, or a material violation of these terms. The founding rate applies only to the Premium listing membership and does not include separate future products or services.

For a suspected billing error, duplicate charge, or refund question, contact connect@hvacentric.com with the company name and transaction details that do not include a complete card number.

Payments are processed through Stripe’s hosted checkout. Stripe’s terms, privacy practices, fraud controls, and supported payment-method rules apply to information and transactions handled by Stripe. HVACentric receives transaction and subscription references but does not receive or store complete card numbers.

You may not:

• Impersonate a business or person, submit false verification information, or claim a listing without authority.
• Post unlawful, defamatory, deceptive, infringing, harassing, discriminatory, malicious, or privacy-invasive material.
• Attempt to bypass security, interfere with site operation, introduce malware, scrape the site at a harmful rate, or access nonpublic systems or data without authorization.
• Use HVACentric data to send spam, facilitate fraud, misrepresent an endorsement, or create a confusingly similar service or database through unauthorized copying.

HVACentric’s name, branding, original design, editorial content, software, organization, and other platform materials are owned by HVACentric or used with permission and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These terms do not transfer ownership to users.

Company names, logos, photos, and trademarks appearing in profiles remain the property of their respective owners. Their appearance is for identification and informational purposes and does not imply sponsorship or endorsement.

If you believe material on HVACentric infringes your copyright, trademark, privacy, or other legal right, email connect@hvacentric.com. Identify the material, its location, the right you believe is affected, your contact information, and enough support for us to evaluate the request.

Links to contractors, manufacturers, government resources, Stripe, and other websites are provided for convenience and research. HVACentric does not control and is not responsible for third-party availability, content, security, terms, privacy practices, products, or services.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, HVACentric and its content are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, noninfringement, uninterrupted availability, or error-free operation. Nothing in these terms excludes a warranty or consumer protection that cannot legally be excluded.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, HVACentric and its owners, affiliates, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages; loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business opportunity; or damages arising from contractor work, third-party conduct, reliance on directory information, or inability to use the site.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited, including rights available under applicable consumer-protection law.

HVACentric may restrict submissions, suspend profile privileges, remove content, cancel a membership, or block access when reasonably necessary to address fraud, impersonation, security threats, unlawful activity, nonpayment, repeated policy violations, or material breach of these terms. Where practical, we may provide notice and an opportunity to correct the issue.

We may update these terms as HVACentric’s services and legal obligations change. The updated date at the top will identify the latest revision. Continued use after revised terms become effective constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by law. Material changes affecting an active paid membership will be communicated when appropriate.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where another jurisdiction’s nonwaivable consumer law applies. Disputes may be brought in a court with lawful jurisdiction in New Jersey unless applicable law provides otherwise.

If a provision is found unenforceable, it will be limited or removed only to the extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue in effect. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver.
